Hmmm. While I'm not a hardcore Tolkien fan, I like and am familiar with his work but... this does not sound like a terribly exciting topic to me, to be honest. I like discussions of themes in literary works, but "hope" isn't very complex or attention grabbing because it feels like this would simply involve pointing one example or quote after another and going, "Yep, here it is again!"
