What actor?

Frodo. Not sure, but someone older. Also Elrond. I love Hugo Weaving, but Elrond he was not.

I didn't mind Elijah Wood as Frodo, but yeah, Hugo Weaving has never been Elrond to me.

This makes me glad I saw the movies before reading the books, I would hate to have not enjoyed Weaving or Elijah or anyone else.

Still not over that Elrond could've been played by the Goblin King.

It is usually (I would argue whopping 90% of the time) the writing that I have a problem with when it comes to characters.

But I will forever, forever feel bummed out at the missed opportunity of having Brittany Murphy play Harley Quinn. That girl would have nailed it.

I adore Daniel Radcliffe, but he's never been Harry to me.

I watched Spawn recently for a podcast and saw Idris Elba in Thor so now I want a Spawn remake with Idris Elba.

I like Natalie Portman, but she never really seemed into her role as Jane and I thought it showed in the lack of chemistry with Hemsworth.

I dug them as two pretty people who wanted to hook up, and had an adventure in between, but was totally thrown by the 2nd movie acting like they were more than that.

Snape.

He was just way too old for the part. And way too posh.

Snape is an ugly nerd from the wrong side of the tracks who grew up to be a goddamn skinhead. He's a gangly husk that goes swooping around through the dungeons like an edgy 12-year-old in a trenchcoat. That's what makes him cool. Rickman's Snape was way too regal and dignified.

I agree. I love Rickman, but he wasn't right for Snape.

Lestat and Louis from Interview with the Vampire - at the time, I wanted Sting for Lestat and maybe someone like Eric Stoltz for Louis.

Queen of the Damned is a terrible movie, but I think the Lestat casting is great (well, at least physically anyway). Stewart Townsend gives off a "I'm walking sex and I know it" which I think suited Lestat much better than Tom Cruise (who is not walking sex and comes across as arrogant in all the wrong ways and not really in the right ways).

I can basically fill this with X-men casting, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, etc.

I'm disappointed they did a soft reboot and didn't learn from the casting mistakes of the original movies. There has been some good casting, but I'd still love to see some of my fav x-men done better in the movies.

I’m torn, because I love Michael Raymond James as Neal Cassidy on OUAT, but I think if his character had been played by a really good looking actor he might not’ve been killed off. And I hate Hook, and if Colin O’Donoghue hadn’t played him and someone less handsome had, I think he might’ve gotten the axe instead of Neal. Especially since at least one producer supposedly had an ott crush on Colin and insisted he be in as many scenes and with as much focus as possible.

It killed me to find out that Blade Runner 2049 originally wanted David Bowie where we got Jared Leto.
Watching the aged Thin White Duke monologue about mortality and legacy woulda just been, damn, SO much better than that weakass villain - I don't care for Leto one bit and he did not act his way into an exception there.
