when I've thrown my back out (usually the lower back), at the point when heat, changing sitting/lying position, and ibuprofin stops working, my next step is targeted back stretches. Googled "stretches for back pain" and found the right set for the particular area.

like, you'd think that doing yoga and core exercise would be good enough but a nurse friend of mine pointed out that a stretch has to be targeted to the muscle and muscle group surrounding it.
