There's already whining on Twitter from people who WANTED HIM TO WIN because we shouldn't HAAAAVE to be celebrating the fact that a disgusting human being lost.

Hoooly crap! That's awesome! I literally did not allow myself to believe for even a second that Moore wouldn't sweep the race, because that's the kind of shitty election results we've had since Trump infected everything. Alabama, I didn't give you enough credit. Though, probably need to wait to celebrate until the count is final...

The best part is that this is to replace Jeff Sessions' seat. They picked Sessions for AG because they thought this deep red Senate seat was 100% safe. Then Alabama went blue.

This is the weirdest timeline.

It's also good to note that this significantly imperils the entire Republican legislative agenda, and that it effectively doubles the chances of Democrats taking the Senate in 2018.

Thank. Fucking. God. SO incredibly happy about this news. I think I was as nervous about the results of this election as I was the presidential one last year. Thrilled this one turned out significantly better.

Now can Moore just permanently fuck off somewhere where we don't have to hear any of his bullshit anymore, please?

I'm so happy I donated! Normally I wouldn't have in an election like this (it's Alabama...) but the Democratic Party mailing list I was on sent me an email every day to the point where I finally went, "You know what, fuck Roy Moore, let's do this!"
