I don't think it's the last day of the Internet, but expect some ugly deals going on where Netflix is concerned, and I'm a slight bit worried about fannish sites like AO3 if Time-Warner decides they're the legal equivalent of Napster and chooses to kill them through throttling.

This is definitely bad for Netflix, but I think Netflix is completely fucked over the mid-to-long term regardless.

Like, net neutrality is probably not even the worst news for Netflix today. The Disney/Fox merger is probably a bigger deal IMO.

Hey if it means my neighbors have to pay more for hogging all of the internet bandwidth by streaming Netflix 24/7 then I am okay with this.

I think places to post fanfic on will always have a way of enduring. Even if we have to go back to zines or mailing lists or just posting them in places not specifically designed for fic - like how, for some god unknown reason, people used to use quizilla back in the mid 00's. People are resourceful.
