I honestly didn't find Elrond particularly memorable in either the books or the movies, but I'll never understand why they cast what's-his-name. He's so creepy looking and unattractive. He's a great actor and iconic in other roles - a perfect Agent Smith, but an ethereally-beautiful elf? Nawwww.

I don't get it, either. Too obviously middle-aged looking, for someone who is supposed to appear ageless.

I agree anon. He's even hotter to me in The Hobbit (even though he's older and I'm not a huge fan of those movies). Goddamn.

Seriously? To each their own, but that is legitimately surprising to me. I would've called him objectively creepy looking, and have no idea what physical traits of his would be considered attractive.
