I'd give it a bit more time before sending out the e-mail - maybe even till the other side of the holidays, unless it's a holiday-specific zine or a present or something like that. But that's just me, and if you wanted to send an e-mail tomorrow or the day after, I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

If you do send an e-mail, I would try to phrase it like you're just asking about what the timeline and ETA is, rather than phrasing it like you need it immediately, I guess. I think with small-team stuff like that, you do need to have somewhat tempered expectations for delivery dates.
