At least with actors, I just don't see why someone's talent would be enough of a reason to ignore or overlook violent, racist, or predatory behavior after you know it happened.

But most people value art over people so I just keep it moving and get less shocked as the years go by.

An exception;

If someone just gives money to make a movie or TV show and has no other involvement, I'm not going to fault anyone for watching it.

So far any athlete with the last name Kane in the NHL. Patrick Kane especially. The NHL still uses him in massive league promo despite the fact that he was under a months-long sexual assault investigation, that just randomly disappeared one day.

And the team could have suspended him during the investigation but let him attend training camp and play. It was gross, and still is. And people still wear his jerseys.

To me, abusive stuff like that that happened in real life is a whole different story than stuff that's purely fictional. I don't get into discussions about it either because there isn't much point, but I get where it's important. Shipping fictional characters - I don't get why people judge that.

It's such a boring, overdone relationship trope: feisty ingenue + messed up bad-boy.

It wouldn't be overdone if there weren't people who liked that stuff...

But why do you care about *this* one, out of the hundreds of such relationships in fiction?

Also it was the first thing that came to mind. Like for The Loud House, I would judge someone shipping the siblings together too.

It's nice to know what people to avoid who judge me just for finding characters with conflicting morals interesting to ship. Whatever, saves me the trouble of dealing with your silent high horse.
