My exact feelings. Isn't tvtropes indulgent by definition? It's not an indulgence that appeals to me, but if you're gonna list stuff from obscure shows you like why not fic.

This is 100% accurate, despite the protestations. I've read through these sections for fandoms I'm intimately familiar with. Rarely do I see the popular fics -- the ones with legions of obsessed fans -- appear there. It's always stories I'd never heard of with middle numbers of reviews and hits.
