Name: Clara
Age: 20, but it'll be 21 on Sunday~
Location: USA (Kentucky)
Fandoms: Loads. I love Reborn! and all manner of Gundam-related things. I love Final Fantasy and Megaten games. CSI, loads of blockbuster movies (lol), a great deal of YA fantasy/sci-fi, and I will try pretty much anything that isn't listed/indicated below under 'NOT interested'. The best indicator of what I'm into would be this page right here (http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=sandrock).
What in fandom interests me: I make graphics, this is my primary means of contributing to fandom. Also: Fandom!Secrets~ And journaling about my crazy fangirl loves.
What in fandom does NOT interest me: Shipping/romance is not my cup of tea. I guess cosplay/cons fall under this category (as in, myself cosplaying, I appreciate others' cosplay) as well.
Major Non-fandom Interests: Sorting things. Journaling. Taking walks. Writing! I'm pretty boring~
My LJ Contains Mostly: Fandom blathering. I abuse capslock, sparkly text, and all manner of textual annoyances to convey my feelings. There could be 8% real-life business in there, maybe.
Other: If only I collected cat macros.

I love Reborn! and all manner of Gundam-related things.

AU!futurefic in which Tsuna grows up to be a Gundam y/n he'd make an awesomer Gundam than Setsuna fer srs. ... or just spazzier :|b

You seem like awesomeeee, may I friend? :D

Also, LIFE-SHATTERING REALITY-ALTERING QUESTION: why are some categories of icon labeled 'stock'? :|;;

P.S. Other: If only I collected cat macros.
That's the exact thought that went through my mind when I saw that prompt. >:(

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Tsuna would be the BEST GUNDAM EVER. Somehow. I'm not sure how it'd work, logistically speaking, but I vote yes.

Why, yes, you may!! (Hehe, I notice you're using my 'Best Friends Forever' icon, which amuses me. For some reason. Perhaps it's the caffeine. I tend to overdo it with the coffeeee: beware.)

Oh! Because they were 'stock photos'. My cousin made them and that's how she labeled the icons in the post, so I just sorta... inherited the keyword? ^^;;

@ PS: I am so going to start collecting cat macros. Like, today. Right this moment. Just in case.

[identity profile] fyretoppaaa.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, if Setsuna can be a Gundam, and Tsuna can be a mafia boss, then it completely logically follows that Tsuna can be a Gundam too! :D :D :D A =/= B =/= C = D

♥~ (I LOVE SAID IKON LIKE CRAZYYY. I'mma probably switch out icons soon, but it has served me many a good week. |D For some reason it makes me happier than LockTier being a lovey-dovey schmoozepile I GUESS I'M JUST WEIRD /o/)

Photography, yours is a mysterious world. ☆ Haha, I've been seeing it here and there, too, so I've been wondering~! XD Not that it's the first time I'll have picked up a term without knowing the actual provenance. :|b /too easily influenced ):

P.S. WHEN YOU DO I WILL TOTALLY DEMAND A ZIP FILE. Because whenever I go on 4chan I end up on /cm/ hoarding prettyboy art instead. ):

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Can Setsuna be a mafia boss then? He has the makings of an excellent mafia family, should he choose to quit being a pilot Gundam and take it up as a hobby career.

Friended! YES! (Ah, the switching out of icons. This is definitely a concept with which I am familiar. Ehehe. And, as a non-shipper-type person, I don't think it's weird at all! I may be weird myself though.)

Photography is mysterious indeed. But whoever would take a bunch of pictures of cupcakes/muffins wins in my book. And they're so pretty~ Also, granted, the term is a bit weird. I mean, maybe it's my roots showing, but stock makes me think of cattle before I think of photos/images. .__.; So there you go.

*will be sure to have one on hand at some point* Funny, I always end up on /cm/ when I'm on 4chan (uh, very rarely) myself. Shocking!

[identity profile] fyretoppaaa.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I would LOL so much at Setsuna being a mafia boss. XDDD Lockon = Yamamoto/Tieria = Gokudera/Allelujah = Bianchi (what)/Hallelujah = ??? |D Now I want crack!fic where Tsuna and Setsuna switch places klsjdkdjf (their names are too similar wtf)

WHOOOOOOOOOOP (I'm too lazy to switch out most of the time D8 I really need a paid account sljfslld /failure HEE I ship damn near everything I can get my hands on that sounds shiny, but in all orientations, usually; meaning platonic as well as romantic 8D/ *flexible!*)

AHAHA I had Photo class in high school and we ran around taking pictures of things like walls and bushes and fire hydrants. LOLOL because we had to stay on campus orz. LOL CATTLE. XD!!! What are your roots, out of curiosity~?

>3 Normally I don't look at fanart at all, but for some reason 4chan wakes up the compulsion. D8

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be the best fic ever~ Someone should write it. I love your comparisons. If Allelujah were Dino, Hallelujah could make a good Squalo? *thinks too hard on this now*

Whoop~ indeed. Hehehe. (I never switch out entirely, but I do delete things at random intervals to replace them with other things. I don't usually NEED to, I have a permanent account and thus I rarely fill my icon slots. But I'm a bit OCD, so just to keep things 'neat', I constantly edit my icons. ^^; As for shipping, I'm just oblivious most of the time? I seem to be more aware of pairings I like when I play video games, but I can only think of maybe two anime/manga pairings I really like...)

If someone gave me a camera, I would take pictures of walls, bushes, and fire hydrants. MAYBE ALL AT ONCE. Either way, I approve of these subjects. Hehe. My roots? Half of my family are pretty straightforwardly Kentuckian folks (some are actually farmers) who would probably enjoy an indepth conversation about cattle. ^^;

ME TOO. I wonder why that is? So very odd~

(Rats, I have no Bleach icons right now...)

[identity profile] fyretoppaaa.livejournal.com 2008-07-02 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
IT WOULD. |D I'd write it but my writing-fu is fail these days. )8 /passes the ball to you?!? I love crack!crossovers, though. |D ... and that's pretty much perfect, imo. :D!!! Although, does this make Soma Xanxus?? sdklfjdfj and then the 9th would be Sergei LMFAO

Oooo, permanent account. <3 SHINY. I was considering it a little while back, maybe in the future. :3 I love making icons, but they usually take me forever. XD;; So I always end up using other people's. Ahahaha, I search actively for ships because it amuses me, usually. :D I'm trying to be less ship-centric, though. |D And all this means is that I end up liking both platonic and romantic of the same couple. Yep. /FAILURE

XDDDDDDDDDDDD Running around with a camera is fun! For an hour or so, anyway. :D LOLOL Kentucky! That's pretty awesome. My folks are just your average came-to-N. America-to-go-to-college Chinese people. XD

I really can't think of a reason at all. ♡ ;D

(Oh, man, every time I go to change my icons it's like BATTLE OF THE FANDOMS. XD /icon folder is OVER 9000)

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-03 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
I know the feeling. My writing-fu seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur... maybe I can talk my sister into it. *laughs* It must be done somehow! Oh gosh, Ninth is Sergei, this is extremely amusing~

It is shiny. I recommend it, if it's possible (I had to beg and plead for mine, and it was worth the groveling). I used to be really obsessed with only using my own icons, but now I use a few by other people? As for ships, I don't see a problem with looking for people to ship! I used to be able to do that, but then I would end up criss-crossing ships all over the fandom, so. I stopped with that strategy, as it confused me. Then, somehow, I kind lost the ability to process romantic relationships at all. I adore friendships though~

lol Yeah, my tolerance level would probably be around the hour mark. As for Kentucky and Kentuckians, there are many words for it, but awesome isn't the first that comes to mind. Your roots sound much more fun/interesting~

4chan has powers we can only dream of having. :x

(I'd be afraid if I had a bunch in a folder, I'd accidentally upload an icon twice or something. Hehe! Somehow, that'd be pretty amusing though.)

Heyyy delicious delicious YA fantasy, plus I like Final Fantasy rather a lot. (I'm just getting into megaten.)

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-03 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, any particular favorites? With regard to YA fantasy, I mean. Final Fantasy is awesome. (And Megaten is awesome with awesome sauce on top. Have you played any of them yet?~)

Garth Nix is big with me, Prydain is probably my favorite, Chrestomanci, but I've read most of the big stuff and I like almost all of it.

I have Persona 3 (I know, everyone has that) but really what keeps me from buying them is the price. I mean, I know they're stuff right up my ally-- I'm big on the genre in general and I love hard RPGs, and the art style is all delicious. But whenever I find them (which is rare) they're ridiculous expensive. D:)

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-03 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Garth Nix! I've only read the Keys to the Kingdom series, but it's one of my absolute favorites. *nods* And I love Lloyd Alexander. Fantastic author. (I have two friends who are telling me to read Chrestomanci also.)

Hehe, I only own two Megaten games myself, and one is Devil Summoner, which is pretty common (as no one seems to like it). I got a Gamefly account in order to rent the rest. That cuts down on the price, unless you really like to own games. I found Digital Devil Saga out of sheer luck. I am still pretty new to it, though I guess I'm unique among the newer players because I played a few other Megaten games before P3. I like Digital Devil Saga the best.

The difficulty aspect is a huge draw. I'm playing FFVIII right now and though I'd say it's more difficult than some Final Fantasy games, it still cannot match the teeth-gnashingly difficult bits in DDS. Personally (my own opinion) DDS is the hardest one I've played, but P3 trails it veeery closely. And I've not finished P3 either, so that might affect my opinion. (And I love the art!!)

Boy, I rambled a wee bit there. Sorry! ^^;

I TOTALLY, TOTALLY REC HIS OTHER STUFF. Old Kingdom is probably his best. And Lloyd Alexander. ♥ ♥

That's actually a really good idea, even though I do like to own games, I might like having monies more. I've been interested in Megaten since before Persona 3 hit it big, and yeah, DDS seems to be the one everyone likes the best.

For me the difficulty in Final Fantasy VIII was the level curve-- I tend to grind and that system took away all the benefits of grinding. I started like, keeping everyone at critical health all the time to increase the difficulty and also because I love limits. The harder Final Fantasy games tend to be the older ones, I think with VI they started making the difficulty easier so the emphasis could be more on the story. Also some people find Tactics hard but I don't know if that's because they don't like the system??

Heh heh heh. Friends?

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-03 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been meaning to find his other books. The place where I live is completely book-inept. The printed word is apparently of little value to people in big cities. *frown* My friend got me into Lloyd Alexander at a young age, which is one of the great things about her. Hehe.

I liked it, though I did cancel my subscription for now, as the list of games I own, but haven't finished, seemed to grow exponentially all of a sudden... so I took a time-out in order to catch up there. DDS is amazing, that's all I can say. P3 is definitely stand-out among many games 'out there' right now, as well.

Aha, that is true, isn't it? I honestly didn't even think of that! I'm the masochistic type though. I run through most areas at max speed and end up really under-leveled in 98% of the games I play. Grinding never occurs to me. I will fight the same boss twenty times without training, even if it's obvious I'm way too weak. *shrugs* Another way to make VIII harder, I guess, is to junction a lot of magic instead of stuff to up your HP? Maybe?

I hear all the time about how hard Tactics is. It makes me... want to play it more. I really am a masochist.

Friends! Absolutely~

My mom gave me Prydain at a young age, but I didn't really come to love it until recently. Book ineptness is silly, though. D:

Tactics is hard, I think, because it expects you to grind a bit but it doesn't make that obvious until the game kills you unmercifully. Once you and the game are on the same page it's not that bad, but that could be my masochism talking.

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-03 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been a pretty indiscriminate bookworm my whole life. I probably couldn't tell you anything I disliked as a child, except maybe select Charles Dicken's works. (Silly, and depressing. I had to go all over town to find a few books I was hunting.)

Sounds like the sort of thing that'd make me really suffer. *dies* But it also sounds very fun. I've been wondering where I can get ahold of some earlier/more 'obscure' FF games. I talk a lot, but I've only played three in the 'original' timeline (VIII, X, and XII) as well as a few others (Crystal Chronicles, Revenant Wings, etc). I think I glimpsed a comment you made to a friend of mine ([livejournal.com profile] degreve) about not liking FFX? I might irritate you a bit then, as I'm one of those fans. ^^;
terra: (lucian)

[personal profile] terra 2008-07-03 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's really rare for me to find a book I don't like.

If you liked Final Fantasy XII, the Tactics plot is like that but better. But horribly translated unless you get the new version. Which has Balthier, so like, extra awesome.

I don't like FFX but am friends with a lot of people who do. It doesn't bother me when people like things, it's more fun to like stuff than dislike it anyway, I think. :D

[identity profile] sandrock.livejournal.com 2008-07-04 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Nigh on impossible! Books are just wonderful things, that's all there is to it~

Ooh, really? That's really neat, I didn't know that~ Is the remake the one for PSP? (I'm apparently very much behind the times here.)

I agree, it is more fun to like things. Though, sometimes I worry I like things too indiscriminately. Oh well! ^^;;; I can't make myself worry about it for too long.
