I ship Reylo because they are the only two characters that actually have any chemistry together. So if there is more Reylo goodness in TLJ, great to hear.

They had chemistry? Where? I felt nothing from them. Only contempt.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's like... the entire basis of chemistry....

(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Contempt from Rey. I felt nothing else.

Shipping chemistry, thete was none. At all.

I have no idea what movie you disgusting Reylos watched, but it wasn't TLJ.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
What movie did you watch she literally told him all pleading-eyed that she ~knew~ he was still conflicted and had a chance to change his path and turn good after sharing enough time in their Force bond lmao

I don't ship Reylo or think it'll be canon and I could still see the subtext clearly.

Contempt is the entire basis of chemistry? That must be what I've been missing in my understanding of ship wars, all this time.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Delusional shipper that is convinced the pairing with actual romantic subtext (confirmed by everyone involved in the movie, the romantic subtext is canon) doesn't have a chance but her delusional ship with zero subtext will win in the end!!! can't see the obvious chemistry. Stop the presses!

(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Could you give some links on the "confirmed by everyone involved in the movie" part because I've never seen anyone claim that.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-21 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
da

I have a few links.

Mark Hamill: http://jalte-diye.tumblr.com/post/168553404278/x

Rian Johnson saying "It is certainly true that there is romantic drama, but there is nothing the same as the two lovers of Han and Leia, this time" before the premiere: http://comicbook.com/starwars/2017/11/27/star-wars-the-last-jedi-love-interesting-romance-rian-johnson/

And then liking this tweet: https://kylo-renperor.tumblr.com/post/168753062441/rian-johnson-liked-my-tweet-and-i-am-in-tears

Idk, Hamill sounds more like he's basically mocking the whole thing.
Anyway, word of God doesn't mean anything if it's not directly in the movie and considering all the things that were retconned between TFA and TLJ, I wouldnt be surprised if it didn't get retconned as well under another word of God rule.

The reylo is delusional or the finnrey is? FinnRey has chemistry coming from TFA and their hug. Reylo had nothing.

Oh, you are in for a treat.
