But vegetarian and vegan aren’t the same thing. Eggs and maybe some dairy (yogurt or other fermented/cultured dairy contain less lactose to fuck with their digestion) would make up some of the deficiencies of a vegan diet and require less in the way of supplements. And cats will sicken and die without meat, and do best on a diet that’s 95% meat, and mostly organ meat, at that. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 20 years and vegans should either keep rabbits or understand that the only creatures they can make follow their preferred diet are themselves.

Rabbits aren't great pets either unless you can accept the fact that they don't like being picked up. people with little kids shouldn't have rabbits for that reason.

My family raised rabbits for awhile, but they were mostly for food purposes not pets. I remember really enjoying them as a kid.

sounds like you were one of those unusual kids who actually didn't try to pick them up.

No, I picked them up. I grew up on a farm and handling rabbits was just a part of that. I'm almost afraid to ask how you tried to pick them up.

I didn't. I knew you weren't supposed to.

You can as long as you pick them up by the extra skin of their neck, they kinda go lax and then you can move them around as you need to.
