twenty years ago (god I'm old) when I actually participated in evangelical christianity, it was far more common that all religious characters fell into one of two categories: the dope, or the malicious evil masquerading as religious. Characters never were just simply religious in the way they had other traits (appearance, job, education, sexuality) so if that's changed, well, why can't people who like God have representation too?

but I abandoned that bullshit a while ago, so I'm willing to admit that I'm a huge hypocrite and don't want them to have representation.
