You said right at the start it was stupid, and yet when I read it, my jaw still dropped and my eyes rolled so hard I lost time. A lesbian... into f/f pairings... who doesn't care for m/m pairings... is fetishing... you know what, no,I can't even parse this stupidity. Good lord, what a maroon.

I'm bi and into f/f pairings and not m/m ones. I had no idea this was something that needed a name, though I've been called worse than "princess-girl."

(Actually I also like m/f pairings so I guess that just makes me ... a fan? I have no idea.)

A... person? Who gets to choose what they like and don't in terms of romantic/sexual relationships in their reading material?

I mean, I think OP has a healthy mindset here of just laughing at these fools, but I'm just stuck at the "what on Earth..." stage. The sheer... I don't know what-ness of judging a lesbian friend for not being into romantic pairings that involve men... and for expressing enthusiasm over f/f pairings?

And this is their friend! And they're looking for unflattering words to describe them for liking what they like, which is the pairing that matches their gender preference?

Just... ugh. What a mean-spirited person. I hope their "friend" finds people out there who are actually interested in spending time with them instead of looking up unkind things to call them over their preference for f/f fanfic over m/m.

Yeah it's extremely ridiculous and I think some people involved with this shit are just anti-sex. I mean anything sexual is "fetishizing" to some of these people.

(I'm not referring to people being asexual which is of course fine. I'm just referring to people who seem to want everyone to pretend sex doesn't exist and not talk about it.)

I think it's a given most of them are anti-sex. One of the 'haha look at this tumblr posts' earlier was someone going off on how fujoshi are wrong for normalizing gay sex and anal sex because those are disgusting and shouldn't be done IRL because blah blah STDs anal damage blah blah.

Ah found it! https://fujoshi-bullshit.tumblr.com/post/168873911116/curious-question-by-not-wanting-gay-men-to

"My biggest issue is that people automatically think all same sex male couples involve anal. My issue is that something that a bizzare, unsafe, painful and degrading sex act is normalized."

Because that's not homophobic at all! (I really this person is gay, but still... there are some huge issues there.)
