Sure, I'll elaborate. The problem with the game of making categorical statements about art sight unseen is that someone will always come up with an edge case that falsifies your categorical judgement. Therefore, while I'll say that it's generally a tacky thing to whitewash characters of color, there's always going to be an exceptional case (such as Patrick Stewart doing Othello as the only white person on the cast.) And I'm increasingly skeptical that chasing down fanartists to say "how dare you" is good activism anyway.

WRT Ursula, I think she's sort of tacky and problematic as a character to start with, so I'm not sure what to do with thin-Ursula fanart other than move on to something more interesting.
