Because I rewatched it for Christmas: the terrible writing in parts of Downton Abbey but especially the way anything avout Thomas was handled.

The set LI sexualities in Dragon Age Inquisition (especially Cullen and Cassandra).

The forced romance and just about everything from episode 7 forward in Seikaisuru Kado.

What do you dislike about the handling of Thomas?

I hated that he never learned from his mistakes. It's realistic for some people in real life, but with a fictional character, it just gets frustrating after a while. I also hated how every time he actually got some character development, it was instantly retconned in the next season or even the next episode.
Then there's the issue of, first his attempted medicated conversion therapy which was never mentioned again and handled very quickly and anticlimactically for all the buildup it had and of course his suicide attempt which was handled incredibly poorly, especially because it was sidelined in favour of some very bland and trite other scenes.

It went downhill from there, fast. You completely noticed how the actor dropping out was not something the writer planned for and he somehow never recovered from that - it appeared as if after the character was gone, the writer didn't know what to do anymore.
