Re: How do you feel about fanart changing canon physical characteristics of a character?

Depends. Like most of the commenters above said, when it's done for social justice points it's annoying but when it's just for fun I don't mind. Though I do dislike it if the character is no longer recognizable as themselves, like I once saw a fanart of two characters from a manga and one had been racebent into a dark-skinned POC with a bindi and general India influence in the design (note the character was from a fantasy series and would not be necessarily Japanese in the original). I had no idea who they were supposed to be until I read the tags. I feel like if it's that removed from the original look of the character it may as well be your OC by that point, and I'm not following character X's tag to see your OCs, sorry.
