Ridiculous conspiracy theory. Ridiculous. It probably got cancelled because it's a random Canadian show and that's what happens to random Canadian shows that aren't super popular. No need to go looking for malice.

You sound like you must be fun at parties.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-01 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
do you actually think i should take it seriously that shadowy Canadian political forces got this random drama cancelled because it was too close to the truth

I mean, personally, that's never come up at a party that I've been to. maybe I don't go to the parties that you do though.

I'm quite sure that OP said 'you must be fun at parties' because you're coming across as a complete douche. Hence, it doesn't matter whether the specific show comes up at specific parties you go to, the fact you're making such a big negative deal about original OP's secret makes you come across as the type to complain about every little thing.
Hence, the sarcasm about you being 'fun' at parties.

The idea that there's a conspiracy theory behind the cancellation of the show is very stupid

that's what I'm saying

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt but geez, you're really missing the point.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not missing my point.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Lol, wow. I honestly can't tell if you're really this oblivious or trolling.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you that the show was probably cancelled due to lack of popularity and nothing more. I also agree with AYRT that the way you've chosen to state your opinion is unnecessarily douchey.

Yeah, I saw the CBC logo and thought the same thing. It's a Canadian show. Low ratings. It's all about the money. Happens all the time. Sucks when it's actually a good show - and I've never watched it, so I can't comment on that - but it really does happen all the time.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
The cancellation coincides with the election of a pro-American Conservative government which made no bones about its disdain for the CBC (and since the 1990s, right-wing parties and auxiliary movements such as the National Citizens' Coalition have dumped on the CBC for various reasons), so do the math.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-02 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Are you saying they cancelled it because they didn't like funding the CBC, or are you saying that they cancelled it because the subject matter was too sensitive for their comfort
