The special wasn't playing anywhere near me and I'm kinda glad since I was a mess near the end. I went to my friend's house to watch it where I could cry without embarrassing myself too badly. I really liked Twelve. He's my Doctor and it was hard to see him go.

I love MST3K. It's the only piece of pop culture that ~means something~ to me.

I can't stand Felicia Day. Her acting is OK but the semi-ditzy, semi-oblivious "twee geek" persona she markets herself with really grates me.

I think all of the other casting for the new series is fantastic, but Felicia as a Mad just feels incredibly pandering (and I think her bits outside the theater are mostly cringe-inducing, but that might be the writing).

It also feels like an extra slap in the face to Mary Jo Pehl, who was brought on to the writing team, and then as a Mad, because she was killing it in local stand-up. Not because she was already geek fap material.

S!B: I'm a committed and outspoken feminist and Felicia Day gets a lot of ~ethics in game journalism~ related hate, and that is completely unrelated to my beef. But still, optics.
