I feel like a lot of people in our society tend to subtly belittle and condescend to women if their attraction is to traits that are deemed "less manly." So like, if you're attracted mainly to clean-shaven, fresh-faced pretty boys, that must be because you haven't yet matured into a full, womanly attraction towards burly macho men.

I think it's basically another facet of cultural fragile masculinity and the need to glorify "manliness." Having women who are more attracted to androgynous/pretty, boyish men challenges some people's gender paradigm, so they belittle it and make it out to be less than fully valid.
