Re: why do I do anything

1. That sounds like depression talking. If it was a person, I’d fill mine’s mouth with superglue because depression never says anything worth hearing, and I’m sorry yours is giving you shit. Third wheel=hey, you have at least two friends, awesome.

2. Most people are a mixed bag of good and bad and blah stuff, not saints. Unless you start the day with a baby and puppy sandwich on rye and blow up planets for a living, that’s your depression yapping.

3. If some other person is telling you you are a nuisance, they’re most likely just being an asshole. If it’s your brain telling you this, depression has hijacked your brain and made it act like an asshole.

4. No one is good all the time, or good at everything. I suck at tons of stuff, but I’m good at some things. If nothing else, you’re good at surviving, because you’re still here, which means you can improve yourself and get better at doing stuff you’d like to do. (Also from your post you can spell and work a computer and format a readable post, so yay skills you’re good at)

5. Man, I’ve been there. Fighting off that feeling is hard and I bet you know all your own weaknesses and show yourself no mercy. But you posted this, which means you’re still here and if you stick around for long enough your depression will give you a break. It sucks when it comes back, but the times when you beat your depression for awhile make life worth it. Your depression isn’t all of you.

6. I’ve been there too. But the only way I got past that was to not die so I had time to recover.

Give yourself time. Do whatever you have to to keep breathing; if you’re alive there’s always a chance things will get better. (Hugs) if you want them, and good luck.
