It's a trivial part of the most apparent factor; WR is full of shitty roleplaying, everything is ugly and unprofessional looking, and the mods

Then maybe you should tell that to the mods? I barely play in the game, so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice, but you should speak up if you want things to change.

The mods shit in your face if you even try to question the game or question their characters.

There was a bunch of shit going on in the DR, apparently, that involved a major WR player. And the person in question did not come out of things looking particularly fresh.

But I digress, this kind of wank should be expected to the OP. With all this hate, the mods must get some kind of hint.

In the game itself, the mods almost never post as mods, because we rarely need them to, so saying they never shut up is rather hilarious.

Ah, no. What is disturbing, love, is that you let our little game affect the rest of the fandom.
Kingdom Hearts lives on just as it always has. We're only telling our own version, one of many.
We enjoy it. In fact, to some of us, WR is as precious as Kingdom Hearts. But it's become its own story now, as far as I see it.
I advise ignoring us if you dislike us. The last thing we want is to hurt the fandom which birthed us.

I so don't get the hate. It originally started as a spinoff of Blog Like It's The End Of The World...which is basically just a day to fuck around and write wild self-inserts, am I right? I have no idea how anyone who isn't involved could take it seriously enough to hate it.

I think it's the players themselves who took it far too seriously.

Plus, I don't think anyone would care if the mods didn't spam ads in every fucking nook and cranny of the KH fandom.

Also, the players need to stop acting like it's the best roleplay on LJ. It's a fucking lame pile of AIDS, we know it isn't serious.

We just don't want to fucking hear about how GREAT it is anymore.

Ah. I'm not really active in KH fandom, so I wasn't aware of the ad spam. I can see how that would be annoying.

Sorry about the ads. It;s not my doing. I haven't touched the rest of the KH fandom in a while.

Funny thing about WR is that those who have been with it from the beginning, seen the whole story, really, truly love it, myself included. To those coming in this late in the game, it looks convoluted and full of ridiculous potential Mary Sues, but that's mainly because you haven't seen how much time and effort was put into playing out the story as realistically as we could manage in such a fantastical setting. It took a half a year before we even began to break canon, or become very powerful characters.

So I understand why people outside the game dislike it, but I'd also like it to be realized that parts of WR are very deep and honestly emotional. We play ourselves, after all, and we try to do so realistically given the situation, as I said. RP is always more fun when taken with a level of seriousness, after all.

sorry, different anon here, but if it's full of game in-jokes and all the sparkly 'you had to have been there from the beginning to get our deep meaning', then you really shouldn't care what someone from the outside thinks.

And likewise, people on the outside should not care about us, even to dislike us.

To the one who complained about too many ads, I know which mod does that and I will mention the annoyance it causes and my own thoughts about not needing anymore new members at this late stage in the game.
