There's all this condensed mincemeat that got put on clearance. I stocked up so I can have mincemeat pies when I want, not just at Christmas.

Strawberry rhubarb is the best. Perfect combination.

Cherry and apple are my favorites. I really want some pie now, but it's raining and I don't feel like driving to the store.

Pie is my favorite dessert. But of all the pies, my favorites are strawberry rhubarb (what I get instead of cake for my birthday), peach, blueberry, pecan, and mango.

This Meyer lemon pie recipe:

Especially with a good homemade crust. It deserves homemade crust.

Wow! That looks so interesting. I've never seen a pie using whole slices of lemon before. My family would love this.

Also I agree that homemade pies deserve a good homemade pastry/pie crust. Making pastry is not my favourite thing to do but it is always worth it. :)

Ooh, thank you for this! I've saved the recipe to my list to try. I'm determined to make at least one pie this pi day.

(I wonder how this would work swapping out the top crust for a meringue?)
