I know this is yesterday’s post which is probably a good thing. The farm store employees that promised to find my pet accidental rooster a home killed and ate him. I almost threw myself in front of a bus on my way home. I thought I was keeping him safe.

On the one hand, lol, because it's a chicken and they were farm people, of course they ate it. On the other hand if it was a chicken you loved, it would feel tantamount to rehoming your dog and then discovering she was being used as a bait dog in a fighting ring. So I do feel bad for OP.

At least the rooster was probably killed quickly without suffering.

I forget if I posted anon or not when you mentioned this before. I'm the rooster-hater who said I'd just as soon someone ate him. But lying to you and just eating him is so offensive.
