Seen any good ones lately? Personally, I though Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was surprisingly excellent.

Yeah, I was suprised that the people I know who've seen it really liked it because I just didn't expect that, but I'll have to see it eventually.

My friend recently saw some romantic comedy, and even though I normally hate them, she says this one isn't a typical romantic comedy and she thinks I'll like it. I'm kind of intrigued but I can't remember what it's called or who's in it so I have to wait to hear back from her. So I might watch that one soon if I can find out what it's called.

I saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with my mom and we both enjoyed it.

I loved The Greatest Showman.

The Post

Saw it today. Wanted to see it because I really liked All the President's Men and I thought it would be in the same vein. And it was, but it felt more personal. I wouldn't say it's as good as All the President's Men, which I think is excellent, but it is very good. It wasn't so much about the Pentagon Papers themselves, but rather what was going on with The Post at the time and what went into the decisions that were made there.

There was some criticism about movie and how much less emphasis was placed on the New York Times (which broke the story), which is true of the movie, but that's not really what this story was about. The movie is clear that the Times broke the story and that the Nixon administration took them to court, but it's not the focus.

Someday I want to watch all the journalism-related movies I've nmissed. All the President's Men. Spotlight. Good Night and Good Luck. I'm sure there are many more I'm not thinking of right now.

Well, I can definitely recommend All the President's Men and Spotlight. I haven't seen Good Night and Good Luck. Zodiac is good, but chilling. Shattered Glass is interesting (yes, Hayden Christensen can act). I don't care for Citizen Kane, but it is a well-made movie.

I actually really like Shattered Glass. (More fuel for the "Hayden Christensen can act" fire: Life as a House.) Zodiac is another I've been meaning to catch.

I got a pretty bad screenr of Shape of Water, but it certainly is interesting so far.
