Re: What were your biggest entertainment disappointments in 2017?

I'm a big Taylor Swift fan, but I admit, Reputation was a bit disappointing for me, if only because ultra-modern EDM/dubstep/hip-hop inspired pop music is just very, very not my thing. I think Reputation is a strong album, but I became a TS fan after listening to Red; that's the kind of melodic, heartfelt lyricism that I'm into. I like plenty of the songs off of Reputation and 1989, but on their own those albums wouldn't have made me the TS fan I am.

I haven't finished watching it yet, but so far, S2 of Dirk Gently is disappointing in two ways. Firstly, it's disappointing in that it's just...kind of bad? I mean, part of the show's shtick is that it's unapologetically strange as fuck. But while S1 did a good job of mostly feeling strange and zany without feeling full-on stupid, a lot of S2 just feels stupid. The show being canceled was also a big disappointment. Because I still really love the characters and would've liked more seasons, regardless of whether the show continued to be a bit stupid or not.
