I had assumed she came from a Catholic background because there's a shot in one episode where she's lighting a candle in a church. Never looked her up on Wikipedia or anything, though.

I think maybe her father was raised Catholic.

Her father abandoned the family which threw her mother straight into the (at the time) supportive arms of Scientology. I don't know when she'd have a chance to have been raised Catholic.
