Immortality. I don't want to outlive everyone I love. D: And what if you can't be killed at all? If the Earth implodes am I just floating in space constantly suffocating?

Yeah, true immortality, where you literally live forever, is a deeply horrifying idea to me. I would absolutely love to be, like, soft immortal - non aging, and largely invulnerable but still capable of dying if/when I chose to. I mean, outliving everyone all the time would definitely be hard to come to terms with, but I'd absolutely want to give it a try, and if I couldn't come to terms with outliving everyone I could choose to kill myself.

But literally being eternal? Just the thought of it is suffocating to me.
