The BBC version stuck to the original, so there is a version for that. I think there is room for both. The Dawn Treader's allegory of being comparable to a religious life can be really difficult to pull off in movie format.

Mostly I get annoyed by the fact they rearranged events and cut out Bern's importance to the islands.

Maybe I love Narnia too much to really complain about any versions. But I want the Horse and His Boy, darn it!
