Yeah the political situation in the US sucks balls right now, but if you don’t have a job, that makes volunteering for an immigrant rights organization or charity slightly more feasible. Everything from filling out paperwork to holding clothing and/or food drives to English lessons could help someone. Look up local organizations and call or email to see what they might need help with. If you can’t find any local charities or nonprofits or whatever, email bigger regional ones and ask if they can put you in touch with groups near you, or help them if they need volunteers for stuff that can be done online or over the phone.
