Every religion has malignant spirits or creatures of some kind so you'd just need to follow the rules for your own, or whatever you believe in, I think it's the faith and belief that does it not the actual religions themselves.

But then I'm also not someone who'd really do this because I don't believe in demons or evil spirits.

A little bit but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as most people seem to. I thought all the acting was fine for the kind of movie they were trying to make. I think it was maybe a little to true to the source material (campy graphic novel space opera) for american audiences...

I mean...the puppets were never really meant to fool the audience into thinking they were actual people. That wasn't the point. Henson's work with puppetry is and was its own thing - very well done, but it looks odd to modern audiences who aren't as used to this kind of puppetry special effects

What are some low-drama, comfy TV series you like? Available on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon would be ideal, but don't feel limited to that.

I'm with you, OP. Just - more sci-fi and fantasy in general, and they do *not* all need to look like LoTR or Star */Blade Runner.

I liked 'The Expanse' a lot because of that reason - it was pretty unique looking in a lot of ways, and they did their best to stick to science as closely as possible. Very cool!

Ironically, I thought Allura's British accent on Voltron was real, that her voice actress was British, but it still sounded fake to me. I thought it was just because I'm American and didn't know any better, but recently I found out my instinct was right. Her actress is American. Now I'm annoyed because it still sounds fake and I know it is fake, and Allura's an alien who probably technically isn't even speaking English so why can't Kimberly Brooks just use her real accent? An American accent would be just as authentic (or more like inauthentic) as a British one.

I think it looks very cool. I always liked that movie, and the puppets reminded me a lot of Froud's fairy and goblin illustrations.

You might like The Expanse, OP? (books or show, though I'm mostly thinking of the books.) It gets pretty damn dark and morally grey, and there are definitely some anti-hero characters, but the core group of protagonists are generally good people trying to do the right thing.
