Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
jesus christ nonny, you had to scroll past a picture bc the thread hasn't collapsed yet. Cry fucking moar.

Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
People have now literally spend more arguing about how much space my image takes up than they have commenting on the image.
I mean, hell, I'm good with no matter what, but it is a bit of a waste.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
I guess it's inevitable at this point that at least half your threads will be instantly derailed by some shit-stirrer or other. If they weren't complaining that you posted an image on a community that revolves around posting images, they'd be complaining that Case hadn't banned you yet or whatever. :\
iirc one of the regulars on /tesg/ had a harem of cutie orc waifus? Maybe it was buffscale, idr. jfc I just realized I haven't been to /tesg/ in like a year.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
And they really do derail this shit quick. It's like they don't understand me at all. I'd like to talk about qt orc waifus, but I'm perfectly happy to argue the toss about the pros and cons of images in comments too.
Like, have I been hiding my power level or something? Is it somehow possible that they don't get that I enjoy pointless arguments? I mentioned that I'm a comics and anime fan right? And that I frequent 4chan?
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Maybe. But I think you're simultaneously hiding your power level too much and too little. They think you're a dudebro bc you're too mainstream, but you're goony enough that they know your a 4channer.
If all you ever talked about was your waifu pillows and your cum bottles they might be more sympathetic bc you'd be almost as pathetic as them.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:23 am (UTC)(link)Not a negative thing on 4chan maybe, but it may well be negative elsewhere. This isn't 4chan. You can't just come onto a place that isn't 4chan, post like it's 4chan, and expect everyone to immediately conform to 4chan culture.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Plus here, I can identify the people I like, where as 4chan is totally anonymous, so I can also have friends and people I like.
You guys don't have as much waifu shit, but I'm working on it.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:36 am (UTC)(link)Basically, your issues are that we're not commenting like 4channers and that people here DO see those aspects of 4chan culture as negative. Just because it's not negative in one place, doesn't mean it's not negative anywhere.

Hm... Maybe too real. Should have made a borg joke instead.

Do I really come off as dudebro? This is the second day that's come up. Chad, I ain't.

Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Not to me, but I can see why you'd come off that way to others.
There's a thin line between "guy obsessed with big-titted cheerleaders and football" and "guy obsessed with big-titted anime waifus and vidya." If all they ever see is the "guy obsessed with tits" part most people default to dudebro.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:11 am (UTC)(link)And here you are complaining because "People have now literally spend more arguing about how much space my image takes up than they have commenting on the image."
Maybe that means that most people here (other than soldatsasha) aren't really interested in your posts.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Also, the lurkers support me in emails.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:09 am (UTC)(link)It's something I've actually made an effort to excise from my own speech because of the section of the population that will take it literally (at least when it's something they disagree with) and act I was being totally serious.
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
Re: In today's 4chan cultural exchange:
(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:15 am (UTC)(link)But that's why I try very hard to avoid hyperbole now. One slip-up, and I've had a massive overreaction, even if I was being pretty calm when I spoke.
But it's basically how people argue online these days. Just accuse the person you disagree with of overreaction or being emotional. So if you want to express disagreement you have to be very careful with your wording.
