if I'm not the one making the ridiculous claim that all female fictional characters are eventually pushed into having children despite having actively said earlier they don't want kids, the onus really isn't on me to write a thesis negating that.

nayrt. How hard is it to understand that a series doesn't exactly work like real life and that for the purposes of telling a story, you only need one childbearing plot thread at a time, so not everyone will necessarily have babies by the end of a show?

I am honestly confused at what point you're trying to make. You're mad that Sex in the City had more than one plotline about adult women having kids? Really? When there were two plotlines, including the protagonist herself, about choosing not to have kids?

Nobody's making that claim, though. Literally nobody claimed that all female fictional characters are pushed into having kids, so nobody has to provide citations for that claim.

It IS pretty funny however, that you say "I can think of plenty of mainstream shows with women choosing not to have kids" but it turns out that plenty = 1. It's also funny that you went out of your way to brag how you could think of plenty of examples, but all of a sudden listing more than the one show you already mentioned is now equivalent to writing a thesis? LOL...
