Personally, I love kids irl (without wanting to have my own, which according to the biological clock proponents is impossible - legit saw a discussion recently about how being around babies releases 'hormones' encouraging broodiness; which seemed...implausible, to say the least.) but even without the predictability of 'career woman tamed by nature!'; I've gotta say, babies are absolutely terrible in terms of dramatic storytelling.
