Exactly and wasn't it a minor plot-point that Grindelwald was supposed to be like ridiculously handsome and charming--which makes Dumbledore's (and a fair portion of the Wizarding world) vulnerability to him seem more reasonable?

I'd been imagining Grindelwald as a Nordic Adonis with someone like Alexander Sarsgard or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau playing him.

And instead we get Johnny Depp with his sallow skin and creepy mismatched eyes and the same schtik that he's been pulling for years.

And it's even more ridiculous considering that Jude Law is a very handsome man and the contrast between Dumbledore (who I always assumed was somewhat average looking when he was younger) and the supposedly "gorgeous" Grindelwald (who's played by an actor who was unconventionally attractive a decade ago and now can't even manage that much)
