I was without a job and got hired on at an temp agency. They sent me to an office to do a job I was totally overqualified for. Which meant I was ace at it, so the other company asked to keep me, and I said hell, yes! Because they offered to pay more than the temp agency, even at entry level.

Over ten years later I'm still in that same job, still totally overqualified, but my salary has grown nicely and the benefits are great, so I'm staying.
