People are sometimes. I fully believe that most vegans and vegetarians are actually nice and not morons, but then there will be some that approach it with such zealotry that I'm pretty sure the only animal they don't like are humans.

I think most vegans and vegetarians are fairly reasonable... or at least, not on the level of harassing others who don't conform to their beliefs. Unfortunately, the relatively small percentage of them who ARE on the level of harassing non-vegetarians/vegans are very, very vocal and very, very crazy.

That's the same with any social campaign though. Most 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Feminist' people are probably nice and not morons, but morons scream the loudest and do the dumbest shit, so they get the most exposure.
