Honestly my only complaint about the effects in this movie is that the dead cat looked so fake. Normally I hate animal death but in this case I couldn't get too riled up.

It's a stuffed animal with a cat digitally painted over it, so a real cat isn't even in that scene at that point.

Well, yeah, but when Fishguy turns in that scene, the limbs on the cat looked very floppy to me, like they didn't have bones.
