Pain anon from Monday

(Anonymous) 2018-02-07 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
The joint pain is just getting worse. Both my knees hurt like they're badly bruised, one has these two swollen red patches, and there's a swollen part on my foot, right above the Achilles tendon. One of my arms is sore on the elbow and shoulder (this, combined with the sore knees makes it difficult to stand up after sitting down) and I can't turn my neck to look behind me.

I made a doctor's appointment, but it's not until next Thursday- a full week from tomorrow. Ugh.

Um... not to be like the people yesterday that were all OMG CANCER AIDS, but a lot of that sounds like meningitis...

As a health care provider, I second anon above that you should go to an urgent care or ED or something and not wait until next week.

You really need to go to the ER. There's a lot of things that can cause sudden joint pain like that, and none of them are good.

Yeah, I'm echoing everyone else here and you should really try to get seen urgently. Sudden pain like that when you haven't done anything to cause it is a cause for alarm.

Urgicare or Redimed or whatever they're called in your neck of the woods. Go tomorrow. If you can swing it, try for late morning or early afternoon to reduce your wait time.

Get to a walk-in and get checked out, dammit! Listen, anon, we can't afford to lose any more of us, and you seen this place lately? Take care of yourself, for all of us!
