Yeah, Vera Farmiga was brilliant in this role. "Bates Motel" was my introduction to her, and I was fascinated with her portrayal of Norma from the get-go. She made the character so complex, and kept me invested in her story through all its good and bad moments.

I can't speak firsthand to the personal relevance she has to you, but I am glad that she did well at portraying something that rang so true for you and spoke to what you've experienced, and I appreciate you taking a chance in posting about something so personal for you. I wish you well, OP.
