Driving me crazy is kind of overstating it, but it is bugging me. Last night I thought of a topic I wanted to post here tonight that I thought could have some interesting discussion but now I have no clue what it is.

There is something in my neighbor's house/yard that has been beeping for 3 days. It is a super loud three beeps, pause, three beeps, longer pause, repeat. THREE DAYS. But the place is not occupied so I have no idea who to contact for that.

Also, driving me crazy trying to find a new bumper cover for my car.

Today at work I was already in not a great emotional and mental place. And late in the day I got snapped and yelled at by two customers for not making their subs neatly and I had to take a break so I could stop crying.

When will customers realize we're not robots, and have shit going on in our own lives? Maybe the girl who's speaking softly and occasionally sniffing and looks like she's trying her best not to cry while you berate her has something going on???

Hugs for you, babe. Customers can be such rude, entitled, high-horse arseholes and sometimes have absolutely zero sensitivity to how we're feeling. I've had a few days like that recently and it sucks. I hope you feel better soon. x

And yeah. They also get pissy over the stupidest stuff. Meat not being perfectly shaved, subs looking kinda messy (yeah you try making, slicing (three slices!) and wrapping a sub with a pile of stuff on it so it can barely close and keep it totally neat), being shown cheese thickness in the Approved Harris Teeter method. These are all things customers have gotten pissy at us about.

A nice manager from Produce managed to cheer me up . commenting "she's eating it not wearing it" That got a giggle out of me even when I was still sniffly.

My coworkers are very understanding and kind. I'm grateful for that.

I know those days, straw that broke the camel's back and all that. :( I made a stupid mistake last week (one of those where everything you do to frantically try and fix it just makes it worse) and the customer was chill about it, but my manager couldn't stop me crying afterwards.

Honestly, people are way too quick to judge and complain about that sort of thing when they don't know how difficult it can be. I watch the staff at the Subway or burrito place in my town and it just looks like fucking magic to me, like I don't know how anyone can do intricate stuff like that under pressure, so props to you.

That manager sounds awesome. My friend just started working in the produce isle at a supermarket and he gets customers complaining because a vegetable is "oddly shaped" etc. Are you putting it on display for the Turner Prize or something? It's a vegetable, it's not always gonna look perfect but it tastes exactly the same! /rage. I'm glad your co-workers are cool, though. Good staff can make a tough job so much better.

The Tumblr purity parade and how they insist on trying to ruin people's lives and livelihood over fictional shipping.

Ugh, yes. I'm so sick of being told my OTP is ~problematic~ and I'm literally harming real people by shipping it. Both characters are consenting adults and no one is getting hurt. If people are feeling hurt by a goddamn fictional ship they need to take a look at their priorities.

It's just like...come back to reality, you fucking nutjobs.

I told my work that I was not available to come in extra on Sunday. The person I told said they understood and I saw them write it down. Then the same person called me at 7:20 am on Sunday to ask me if I could come in.

Today on the subway there were a couple of kids play-fighting really roughly with each other and climbing all over the seats, sometimes even standing up on the seats... all while the train was moving. Their mother (or whoever the woman with them was) sat facing the other direction as soon as they boarded the train and didn't once say or do anything to try and control them. I was furious with her and worried someone was going to get seriously injured. I had an internal debate over telling her to do something or talking to the kids myself, but I could only imagine it becoming a screaming match and in the end I just had no idea what to do.

The Star Wars fandom. Just shut the fuck up, you ungrateful jerks. Let people enjoy Star Wars in peace. You want to have a space where it is only criticism, great. You want to express your opinions, great. But stop coming into positive places with your negativity. Stop making it a damn competition (even many pro-TLJ fans have to get in those comments about the Prequels). And stop telling other people what to think. Just shut up. You are ruining Star Wars for me. Even thinking about the movies right now makes me angry, and they are my favorite movies. Enough.

Above anon. Uh, yes, having a bad week, so I'm definitely overreacting. But still. I really need to unfollow the Star Wars Facebook groups I follow. Which makes me sad because I used to love them. But I can't deal with the hate right now.

As someone who doesn't think favorably of the prequels, I agree with you. I have never understood people who just HAVE TO GET IN JABS AT SOMETHING in a place where it's obvious that that something is loved. Why shit on everyone else's good time? It's like, "yes, we know you think it's stupid and awful. After 500 times of telling everyone else what a genius you are for seeing what an inferior product it is, can you just fuck off?"

I'm a bit on the other side in a away - not when it comes to invading positive spaces with unwarranted criticism and wank because that's a dick move. But I'm very tired of every critical post about TLJ having a boatload of TLJ stans in it insulting anyone who doesn't agree with them that it's the BEST MOVIE EVER. Shit goes both ways.

Realizing that Karl Urban in Priest resembles/looks like a live action slimmer less jacked McCree from Overwatch....where are you Karl Urban anon? Do you agree? overwatch anon, agree?

I just have this thought and need to share it.
