Season 1 was awesome. There really didn't need to be a Season 2... it didn't have any of the magic of the first one.

Yeah, Season 2 just failed to grip me. The mysteries in both were really kind of meh, but the character dynamic in the first season made it interesting.

It's True Detective, numb-nuts. And if you were looking for a comedy, you can't have read the description right either.

Pretty sure OP is aware True Detective isn't a comedy. Presumably that's why it's a secret - they only like the few comedic moments in a popular series that's quite dark.
