I did feel certain aspects were kind of rushed, like they weren't sure how it was going to do and just sort of... put everything on fastforward exposition wise so that it was mostly tied up in case they didn't get to go forward with the future films?

But I still enjoyed it immensely. I was kind of meh on Tina/Tina's attitude the first time I saw it, but the more I watch it the more I like her, and I love Newt and Queenie and Jacob.

I just wish it had slowed down a little.

I enjoyed the book but I was seriously meh on the miniseries for similar reasons. None of the characters had that... ~snap~ that the BBC P&P actors had for me.

Honestly, Jenna Coleman as Lydia was the most enjoyable part and I usually want to slap Lydia in any incarnation.

Good news! It plays like shit too and they nerfed the difficulty big time, so exactly none of the battles feel like any sort of epic struggle. I've never been so disappointed in a remake; it completely killed the magic of it.
