I think you pinged on the one thing I didn't like about the book!

I liked the story and the writing, but you're right, they could have done a find and replace with names and I wouldn't have noticed, the writing wasn't very on point with Jane Austen's.

Yes, I think I might've enjoyed it more if it hadn't purported to be a sequel to Pride and Prejudice. It just didn't feel like one, it felt like a historical mystery with Austen's character names superimposed on original characters.
