Huh. I'm watching it for the first time on Netflix and wondering what I'm missing out on now.

The music changes are only for season one when you use a streaming service; they're the original classic rock songs on the DVD. Other than the pilot having five additional minutes on the DVD, nothing else has changed. It's maybe mood thing, but if you've never watched it before, you wouldn't know the difference anyway.
