Having her cake and eat it too is definitely what this is.

I don't know if you follow Kate Winslet at all, but she is always pushing hard for awards. Which is fine, she is an actress after all, but look where it's gotten her. I don't doubt that she doesn't actually care about the accusations; her heart is obviously where the money is, even if she has to work with a piece of shit to get there.

I think Selena Gomez is on that same line of thinking tbh. I don't think she's after awards lmao but she has definitely been trying to steer her career more towards film, and she has been trying for almost ten years.
