Hey, I felt the same way, OP. To make it even worse (at least, according to my friend who's a huge Austen fan), the 2005 movie is my favorite version of Pride and Prejudice and I still don't like the book. XD

As a die hard Austen fan, I can see cinematically why people like the 2005 version, but I just find Jennifer Ehle so much more charming and more 'Elizabeth' in the 1995 series. Plus it's a lot more faithful to the book.

Yeah, Knightley's Elizabeth just seems so angsty, and when she's supposed to be witty and "arch", she just comes off as slightly mean.
