I can see why it would make you grumpy. The commenter is showing that they don't really understand the sport, yet are speaking almost as though they're an authority, claiming to like this pair because they're not like the other pairs because... they possess traits that all pairs are supposed to have. It's like saying that you don't usually watch American football, but you loved that the team in that game worked together to keep the opposing team from scoring a touchdown.

Oh si. And tbh, I take it the original comment maker hasn't watched many dancing competitions either...because it's the same thing there. If you're not attentive to your partner, then it's not gonna look good nor will it go well.

I don't think the commenter is really presenting themselves as an authority - they start out admitting they don't watch skating usually - but there are degrees of sheer cluelessness that are cringe-worthy even from outsider enthusiasm.
