I get the same feeling whenever I follow an artist who draws in a Tim Burton-esque style and have only child OCs. At least three different blogs I've followed Who drew in that style turned out to draw shots/loli

I'm too far the anime art rabbit hole for this to even register. Tbh, sometimes I think it's a result of mixing good art fundamentals with anime drawing shorthand rather than horniness. Certain styles of anime make everyone look young.

"I'm 30>y/o"

someone decipher this for me are they older or younger than 30

(Anonymous) 2018-02-16 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
I think they were trying to say they were over 30...

Is this supposed to be kid!McCree?

I don't go into any of the kid!anyone art/fic (unless it's that MC had s baby/kid, that's fine), so...you might be a good percentage right? Especially if you check out their other work and it gives you that sense? I just really dislike that they're always blushing. eugh.

OP

it is. and not only blusing, they draw him hurt, bleeding, sweaty or wet and in different states of undressed, I'm just
nope

I have a pretty high bar for suspecting fetish art. For example, last week I went to a museum [MONA, Hobart, Tasmania] where there was a room full of one guy's work, ALL of which involved either 1) small boys frolicking naked in the fields, or 2) small boys (still naked) being violently murdered by men in uniform.
That was *definitely* the artist's fetish.

This? I kind of doubt it.

Holy crap ew. o.o That sounds super disturbing.

(Anonymous) 2018-02-16 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Wait what the hell?

Man, like, either it was his fetish or he was plagued by some super disturbing trauma that he worked out through his paintings, but either way the exhibit sounds very disturbing. /shudder

As far as the actual thing... I don't always get the feeling it's the artist's fetish, but sometimes there's that sense. It's weird, the same basic thing can look completely innocent coming from one person, and give me the creeps coming from someone else, despite the fact that I would give the same literal description for both? Just a vibe thing, I guess.

da

Yeah, I'd say go with your gut.

TBH looking at that art, I find it appealing and well-drawn. Doesn't look particularly underage to me, but I don't know the character it was based on. (Looks like a twink in their 20s to me, depending on the art style!)

But often your gut knows what's up in these cases, and if you feel weird about someone's art, it's wise to listen and avoid, IMO. Same for many aspects of human interaction, from who you befriend, to dating, to money stuff

if I'm not mistaken, OP, please correct me if I'm wrong, this seems to be a drawing of Jesse McCree from Overwatch as a kid. And when he joins Overwatch originally, he's supposed to be 17, and looks older than this, I would imagine. By the time you are in game with him, he's 37 and looks like this:

it is McCree, yeah. I didn't find the art wierd untill I followed them on twitter and it turned out they only drew him exclusively as a little kid or teenager. there were like 2 arts where he was depicted as a mature man, but still younger than in canon. absolutely a bad vibe for me, somehow

(Anonymous) 2018-02-16 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Ehhhh, even if they have a fixation it doesn't necessarily have to be a fetish. It could be like those people who really, really like art of kittens and baby angels and stuff.

The chibi style is very common in anime and manga. It has nothing to do with fetishizing children. It's about showing adult characters with their adult characteristics but with a child's proportions (larger head in relation to body, shorter arms, larger eyes) as a visual shorthand to show that either this character is being made to feel small (like, say, their boss is yelling at them and it makes them feel like a child being called to the principal's office), or that this adult is displaying childlike enthusiasm or naivete.

Think of it like the Western visual shorthand of having a light bulb appear over someone's head to show they had an idea, or steam coming out of their ears to show they're losing their temper.

just a couple of days back the creator of the art I used in this secret drew the same character with wolf ears, mouth open and tongue hanging out, his hand held infront of his mouth as if he's holding something invisible he tries to eat. or suck an invisible dick, which is a point of no return for me and I'm bloking this artist and fucking off, this is too much, ew. I hope I'm just imagining things, but no, nope, I'm outta here
