Adults identify with and project themselves onto minors in those fics, you know. It's a thing that happens.

I read somewhere that the majority of women that read shota yaoi project themselves onto the child. I forget what the source for that is though.

But that makes sense in a way, especially for fic. If you were a minor writing from the POV of a minor who thinks an adult is sexy, then the POV of the fic would be making the adult sexy, not making the child sexy from the POV of the adult?

I dunno, as an adult, I've written adult/minor fic from the adult POV, and it was sleazy as fuck, absolutely objectifying the minor. Yet I was identifying with the minor. Getting off on the thought of being so young and innocent and having an older man want me so badly and take advantage of me.
